Windows Installer

Interactive .exe installer that configures PATH, shortcuts, Explorer context menu, and Chromium.

Download

Grab loki-setup-windows-amd64.exe from the latest GitHub release and run it. You can choose between a per-user install (%LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\LOKI, no admin rights required) or a system-wide install (C:\Program Files\LOKI), as well as any custom directory.

What the installer configures

  • Automatic PATH registration (addtopath): Adds the installation folder to your user or system PATH so loki works from any PowerShell, CMD, or Windows Terminal window (and cleans it up on uninstall).
  • Start Menu & Desktop shortcuts (desktopicon): Creates shortcuts with the official LOKI icon that launch the conversational terminal (loki chat).
  • Explorer context menu (contextmenu): Adds Open LOKI Agent here when right-clicking any folder or folder background to launch loki chat directly in that project directory.
  • Optional Playwright Chromium setup (installchromium): Can automatically run loki install-browser chromium at the end of the wizard so LOKI is ready to run out of the box.

Restart your terminal after installing so the new PATH is picked up.
